I applaud the Senator for holding to his position. In terms of knowing what this healthcare proposal contains, other than house bill 3200, Senate provisions remain unknown. A public option would provide many institutions, corporations and businesses and opportunity to "off load" private plans they are required to partially fund. This particular government program, if approved, would not become operational for months if not years to come. I have continued to question why the rapid race to the bill finish line when plan stipulations, modifications and appropriate inclusions, are yet to be inserted. In terms of strategic planning, whether "cash for clunkers' or "cap and trade" it seems the administration has yet to overcome the learning curve of effective administration. I personally believe that Senator Grassley is correct in his opposition to the public option.
