WSJ, 9.29 U.S., Allies Seek New Ways to Sanction Iran

. These sanctions being discussed, novel or traditional will simply not work. There is an incredible reluctance on the part of the United Nations to do much of anything to confront Iran. This organization has a long history of ineffectiveness. Iran continues to stall for time to build and complete its nuclear capability which in addition to bombs will also employ weaponized short, medium and long range missiles. If not eliminated, most all of these weapons being built by Iran will be used against Israel and other nations.

We face today another holocaust purveyor in the Iranian dictator and his fundamentalist Islamic regime. His goal is both proclaimed before the world and very clear, the destruction of Israel from the face of the earth. He is not the first lunatic to proclaim this horrific goal, and yet he must be taken literally at his word. The United States and much of the world must stand strongly against this threat. Sanctions have been tried before, they will not work! After Dunkerque, Winston Churchill used the expression," If necessary for years, if necessary alone." At a moment in history when the holocaust is being preplanned by yet another madman and his regime, whether or not the U.N. joins us and Israel, in eliminating this real threat, may it be said of the American people, "if necessary alone."
