NY Times, 9.10, Gail Collins "So much for civility"

While some were heckling the President during his speech last evening, Senator John McCain was the picture of decorum and fair play. Perhaps, some would say, with his military background the senator was merely being dignified.

In my opinion the patriot's respect for the commander and chief, his responsibility to the youth of this country and his love and respect for the presidency motivated his decorum. Once again, I express my appreciation to this special American for leading the way for us all as a member of the respectful opposition. We often disagree but our debate can be agreeable and exempliary.

Thanks senator, once again you make us proud to be Americans!
